Welcome to artworkbyrandi, my web site and electronic portfolio. On the first page you can see some of my earliest paintings and drawings done in watercolor, pencil and some acrylics. The second page contains only one watercolor and one commissioned pencil as acrylics were quickly becoming my medium of choice.
I'm a self taught artist. I see
something that appeals to me, the way light plays off an object, the
colors of the seasons or the colors within white and I'm compelled to
paint it. The play of light and dark is something I've become very
interested in. You'll see examples of that in the paintings starting
on page four, example 'Neighbors' and 'Invitation'.
I do commissions . I've done
commercial banners, interior walls, and my history includes a stock car
and service vehicle.
My favorite subjects are nature and
any play of light and color, as seen in 'North on 19th'
on page four. Please visit often and watch the subtle changes of
